• THE  FOURTH  LUMINOUS  MYSTERY
  THE  TRANSFIGURATION
  
  Jesus  went  up  on  the  mountain  to  pray  and  took  Peter,  John,  and  James  with  him.    As  he  prayed,  his  face  changed  its  appearance  and  his  clothes  became  dazzling  white.    Suddenly,  Moses  and  Elijah  appeared  in  heavenly  glory  and  talked  to  Jesus.
  
  Although  Peter  and  his  companions  were  very  sleepy,  they  managed  to  stay  awake  and  saw  the  glory  of  Jesus,  and  Moses  and  Elijah  with  him.    Then,  a  cloud  came  and  overshadowed  them,  and  the  three  disciples  were  terrified.    From  the  cloud  came  a  voice  that  said,  “This  is  my  Son,  my  Chosen,  listen  to  him!”    When  the  voice  had  spoken,  Jesus  and  the  disciples  were  alone.    They  kept  silent  and  told  no  one  of  the  things  they  had  seen.
