Tour stop number 810 is the City Water Works Building, located on the northeast corner of Lexington Avenue and Main Street. Built in 1910, the City Water Works building was designed by E. Hill Turnock. He chose to feature limestone, a red tile roof, and arched windows. The use of glass blocks in the first floor windows blended the structural integrity of the design and the creative use of natural, exterior lighting. Your next tour stop is number 811, the Kuespert House, located at 149 Division Street. Continue through the stop light and turn right on Waterfall Drive, right onto East Street, then right onto Division. The E. Hill Turnock Architectural Tour is sponsored by St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, for more information on the history of the church, visit stpauls-web.org.
